Exciting Times!

Hello!

Blimey, we have been so busy we have completely forgot to get our blogs written and published! tbh we should probably put Lady Olive in charge of the blog as she has the most time!

There have been quite a things going on recently so we thought we would do an update to let you know what we have been up to.

We have been/ are working hard with Animal Rescue Cumbria to create a charity calendar for 2022. Dave has been visiting the shelter regularly too photograph all the dogs and cats that have visited the shelter. Thankfully these beautiful creatures generally don’t stop too long and find there forever homes rather quickly! And that just shows what an awesome job there team does! Bravo! The Wainwright shelter is such a good site we were able to set up an indoor studio which we use to photograph the cats and kittens.

The Calendar is now in the extremely capable hands of Tom Burnham and his team at Cerberus Printing in Kirkby Stephen, who have kindly offered to help us in designing and printing the calendars! We sent the imagery through this week and are sooooooooo excited for you to see all our beautiful images of the cats and dogs of the wainwright shelter.

2022 is a very special year for Animal Rescue Cumbria as it will be there 50th anniversary! 50 years of helping re-home cats and dogs in the Cumbria area! What an achievement!

Our calendars should be available to purchase by the end of the month through the Animal Rescue Cumbria website and there new pre loved shop in Kendal -

All of the profits from the sale of these calendars go directly to Animal Rescue Cumbria so we need your help to spread the word! If you are reading this, if you could share any of Animal Rescue Cumbria and our posts that talk about and share imagery from the calendar, it would be greatly appreciated! The more we can sell, the more money goes to helping animals in search of there forever homes!

Because of this, Animal Rescue Cumbria have kindly listed us as one of their official partners! Which is amazing! We are so proud to do what we can to help there extremely worthy cause that’s very close to our hearts!

We have also donated the prize for both adult and kids category of their summer dog photo challenge! And even cooler is the fact that Chris Packham from BBC spring watch fame has kindly offered to be the celebrity judge! We are looking forward to seeing all the entries and meeting the winners! Fingers crossed we get to meet Chris Packham!

In the next few weeks (fingers crossed), with the help of Stu Taylor, we should have some of our funky new wall art hanging proudly in the Royal Barn in Kirkby Lonsdale! we cant wait for this! It has taken a long time to get to the point of hanging the art because Covid kept putting everything on hold! But it is going to look awesome, two of our 12"x12" Signature Solo frames, showing both pub dogs Thunder (Bull Mastiff) & Bolt (Fox red lab). We have also had some A6 postcards made which will be hung underneath both pieces of wall art! You will get an up close look if you are sat by the fire with a coffee or a pint!

At the end of the month we are also running a woodland mini shoot day. £50 for a 45 minute shoot in Serpentine Woods in Kendal. Open to any dog or cat! don't worry about leads as these are easily removed in the editing process. For more details click the link below -

In other news, we have launched “The Feline Experience”! A special pet photography experience aimed directly at those cheeky kitty cats! -

We also have a new experience to be launched very soon that we are very excited about! “The Equine experience”! Pricing and details are just being finalised then we can get it live on the site! EXCITING!

Theres always plenty going on, and we might even be working on a few new ideas, but we will save the details for that for now.

Until next time!

Dave and The OPP Team
